Royal Ascot continued today, and a few new royal faces popped up at the racecourse!

The Queen was easy to pick out in the crowd — a bright pop of pink amid the sea of black coats and top hats!

She pinned the classic Jardine Star Brooch to her coat for the races on Friday. (More about the history of the brooch here!)

We were also treated to an excellent close-up of her favorite everyday pearl and diamond earrings, captured during the carriage procession.

Beside her in the carriage on Friday were two members of the extended Windsor family: Lady Helen Taylor, daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Kent, and her husband, Timothy.

Lady Helen didn’t appear to wear any jewelry of significance for her day at the races — and it’s probably just as well, because statement jewels would have warred with the orange accent on her dress.

Peter Phillips, Princess Anne’s son, also joined his grandmother and the Taylors in the lead carriage.

Also making her now-annual appearance at Royal Ascot: Sarah, Duchess of York! She accompanied her former husband in the parade ring, wearing little green stud earrings that echoed the colors of her hat and her clutch bag.
