The star of the jewelry show here are these luminous emeralds, which are part of the Greek Emerald Parure. The emeralds were brought to Greece from Russia by Queen Olga, and they’ve been set in various forms in the decades since. Queen Elisabeth, wife of King George II, is responsible for the current setting of the tiara. (Note the “E” designs!) On this occasion, Queen Anne-Marie wore one of her own necklaces — her portion of Queen Alexandrine’s Diamond Sautoir Necklace — with four of the emerald drops. She also wore the emerald parure’s earrings and pinned the grand brooch from the set near the neckline of her gown.

On her left hand, you’ll also spot a rather spectacular emerald cabochon ring. (You can just see her gold bangle bracelet on her left arm as well!)
