Time for our third holiday wishlist of the year! This time, we’re peeking into the glittering collection of a Scandinavian jeweler who is a royal favorite…
Crown Princess Mary wears a Georg Jensen bracelet
Holiday Wishlist: Georg Jensen
You know you’re dealing with a truly regal jeweler when the company has a royal warrant. In Denmark, the artists at Georg Jensen can boast that their work is “by appointment to Her Majesty the Queen” — and if Daisy approves, you know you’re in for some serious royal glitter. Founded by Danish silversmith Georg Jensen in 1904, the company specializes in all sorts of beautiful objects, including gorgeous jewels. Here are five of my favorite pieces from Georg Jensen’s current collections…
Crown Princess Mary has a version of the Moonlight Blossom Brooch in her jewelry box, and it’s easy to see why she likes it: the sterling silver piece is a dreamy classic, set with luminous moonstones. ($1475)
My birthday is in December — in fact, it’s on Saturday! — so I’m always drawn to jewelry featuring my birthstone, blue topaz. The Moonrise Ring, which features a smooth blue topaz set in yellow gold, is absolutely breathtaking! ($1650)
Good Scandinavian design is all about cool, clean lines, and the Forget-Me-Knot Bangle Bracelet is such a fun twist (literally!) on that aesthetic. ($395)
Is there anything more chic than a small, simple pair of diamond hoops? The appropriately-named Classique Earrings feature brilliant-cut diamonds set in white gold. ($2750)
Long sautoir necklaces conjure up images of flappers, jazz, and a young Duchess of York, who would have looked absolutely smashing in the Zephyr Sautoir. The necklace is made of sterling silver with interspersed links of black agate. ($995)
Which Georg Jensen pieces would you like to add to your collection this holiday season?
