The Duchess of Cambridge’s jewelry collection includes a growing number of earrings from British jewelry designer Kiki McDonough — some petite, some statement. Today’s earrings, the Lola Blue Topaz Hoops, definitely fall into the latter category.

Kate wore the earrings in public for the first time in July 2012. She debuted them at a Buckingham Palace reception ahead of the London Olympic Games. The earrings fit neatly with her “ring” jewelry aesthetic for Olympic events.

The earrings are described on the Kiki McDonough website as “stunning blue topaz and diamond hoops in 18ct white gold.” The earrings are actually a double hoop: a large ring of alternating blue topazes and diamonds suspended from a much smaller, diamond-studded hoop. The pair retails on the website for £3,200.

She also demonstrated the versatility of the earrings in November 2014, wearing them with an evening gown for the Royal Variety Performance.
