Sparkling Royal Jewels From Around the World
At Monday’s Met Gala, Dame Anna Wintour sparkled in her signature pieces of antique jewelry, including a pair of necklaces and an eye-catching floral brooch, and a coat with an intriguing Danish royal connection.
While we were all caught up in coronation fervor here two weeks ago, the stars were out at the annual Met Gala in New York. There were some sumptuous jewels on display, but perhaps none quite so eye-catching as the amazing diamond necklace worn by the pop star Dua Lipa.
On Monday evening, the stars of the fashion world gathered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for the annual Met Gala. This year’s theme, “Gilded Glamour and White Tie,” promised tiaras, and we did get a few excellent vintage diadems on guests. Today, we’re taking a closer look at three of them, all of which have vintage provenance.
