9. On Tuesday, the Princess Royal wore pearls with her diamond, sapphire, and gold brooch and earrings to unveil a plaque at the new Postal Museum in London.

8. At the Polar Music Prize Ceremony on Wednesday, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden wore modern silver jewels, including earrings and a cuff bracelet, that coordinated with her gown.

7. Princess Madeleine wore pink statement earrings to attend the awards ceremony; she also arrived wearing a set of long, thin, sparkling necklaces that competed a bit with her bow, but she smartly removed them.

2. Queen Elizabeth’s best bejeweled appearance of the week, for me, came when she wore her aquamarine clip brooches during Thursday’s visit to Poplar in Tower Hamlets in East London, an event that commemorated bombings in the area during World War I.

10. Princess Charlene of Monaco wore her Dior Tribales earrings on two occasions this week: Thursday’s visit to the Red Cross in Monaco, and Saturday’s trip to see South Africa’s rugby team play in England.

7. On Thursday, Letizia wore another pair of Tous earrings, this time set with rubies and emeralds, to attend the opening of parliament with King Felipe and their two daughters, Leonor and Sofia.

2. The Flower Basket Brooch (which we’ve been discussing in recent recaps of The Crown) was the Queen’s choice for an audience with the Prime Minister of Grenada at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday.

1. My top vote of the week goes to one of the Queen’s very best brooches: the Cullinan V Brooch, which she wore at a reception for the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.

5. And it’s a tie for fifth, too! Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom has worn a series of brooches this week, including her ruby and diamond floral brooch (which she also repeated at an evening palace reception), her Flower Basket Brooch, and the Grima Ruby Brooch. 1. And it’s a collective vote for first place, too: the British royal ladies dressed up for the Colombian state banquet on Tuesday. Queen Elizabeth II wore her sapphires; Camilla wore the Greville Tiara with diamond earrings and a pearl necklace; the Duchess of Gloucester wore the Iveagh Tiara with pearls (and the honeysuckle tiara at the next evening’s Guildhall banquet); and Princess Alexandra wore a tiara, likely the Ogilvy.
