Sparkling Royal Jewels From Around the World
As a December baby (who celebrated her birthday yesterday, actually!), I’m a big fan of my light blue birthstones, the vibrant blue topaz (or zircon) and the dreamy purple-hued tanzanite. Today, I’m spotlighting a suite of royal jewels that many believe incorporates tanzanites in its design: Queen Maxima’s lovely blue gem and moonstone necklace and its coordinating earrings.
On Tuesday, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands made a museum visit in Haarlem, and she brought some festive and fun earrings along with her.

On Tuesday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands are heading to Oslo for a state visit with King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway. Queen Maxima has made several sparkling visits to Norway over the past two decades, and today, we’ve got a look at some of the tiaras and jewels she’s worn for past visits.
