Our countdown of the best jewels worn to Crown Princess Victoria’s June 2010 pre-wedding gala continues with gorgeous diamonds worn by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands!

The then-Princess Maxima combined personal jewels with heirloom diamonds from the Dutch royal vaults for the event.

She reached for Queen Wilhelmina’s delicate diamond hair comb to nestle in her hair, pairing it with diamond chandelier earrings from her own personal collection.

Maxima also wore a pair of important bracelets from the royal vaults. The two diamond and platinum bracelets were made in the 1990s from a single, larger bracelet that was given to Queen Juliana as a wedding gift in 1937 by the people of the Dutch East Indies.
