Almost a year ago, Princess Eugenie of York (a granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II) announced her engagement to her long-time boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank.

Her engagement ring was a stunner, featuring an orangey-pink padparadscha sapphire and diamond cluster.

When Princess Eugenie arrived at St. George’s Chapel for her wedding in October, she stepped out of the car wearing an incredible tiara: the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik, part of the legendary Greville jewel bequest to the Queen Mother.

The tiara, made in 1919 by Boucheron, features an enormous cabochon emerald in the center of its diamond design. The royal wedding marked the very first time it had been worn in public by a member of the royal family — despite the fact that it has been in the royal vaults since 1942!

For her wedding reception, Eugenie changed into a different dress and jewels. We sadly didn’t get a good picture showing them, but palace press information revealed that she wore Queen Victoria’s diamond Wheat-Ear Brooches in her hair.
