Today’s newest section of the Tiarapedia, the original online encyclopedia of tiaras, is likely one of the most highly-anticipated. The Dutch royal vaults are absolutely crammed with tiaras, and you can learn about all of them on our newest page!

A decade ago, I launched the Tiarapedia with the goal of collecting provenance, ownership, and wearer information about the beautiful tiaras worn by royal women. Ten years later, I’ve relaunched the project as a section of this site.

The Spanish Tiarapedia Is Live!

The Tiarapedia is growing again! Today we’re debuting a section dedicated to the royal tiaras of Spain to the original online encyclopedia of tiaras.

Since its debut in 2008, the Tiarapedia has been one of the most popular parts of my royal writing. This new version of the concept features updated entries on tiaras worn by today’s royals, including provenance information, careful tracing of ownership, and links to longer articles that feature images of the diadems discussed.

Thanks to careful inheritance planning, and some strategic reacquisition, Spanish royal family has managed to keep a surprisingly robust collection of tiaras intact, even following two centuries punctuated by upheaval and exile. In our newest section of the Tiarapedia, you can learn more about the tiaras worn by Queen Letizia and the rest of the royal ladies of Spain.

The Danish Tiarapedia Has Landed!

My work in compiling an updated, encyclopedic reference to some of the world’s most glittering royal tiaras, The Tiarapedia, has officially arrived in Denmark!

If you’re looking for a quick, helpful reference to royal tiaras, The Tiarapedia is the place for you. The original version launched back in 2008, and I’m celebrating its 10th anniversary with a new, updated version. Today, the section on the tiaras worn by the reigning branch of the Danish royal family has officially been added!

The Danish collection is a fascinating one, featuring tiaras that are centuries old, as well as many new, modern sparklers. It’s all here, from the pieces worn by Queen Margrethe II and her daughters-in-law to the diadems worn by her cousins, the descendants of Hereditary Prince Knud. Most entries also include links to more detailed articles about the tiaras, including wonderful images.
