Earrings, necklaces, brooches, and one very glittering princess on the docket this week. Vote for your favorite in the poll below!

10. The Duchess of Cambridge — or, I should say, the Countess of Strathearn — was in Edinburgh for a series of engagements on Wednesday. She wore her Kiki McDonough Lauren earrings for the day.

9. We got a tiny glimpse of Princess Sofia’s earrings at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts on Friday — looks like small round pearl drops, perhaps?

8. Empress Michiko of Japan was elegant as always in a strand of pearls and a small brooch during a meeting with the Swedish ambassador on Saturday. (She also wore an impressive brooch to meet with King Carl XVI Gustaf the day before.)

7. The Duchess of Cornwall selected her pearls with the diamond and sapphire deco clasp for a trip to a library in Islington on Wednesday; she’s also wearing golden earrings instead of her usual pearl and diamond pair.

6. Camilla wore her usual daytime earrings with one of her sparkliest pearl-and-clasp necklaces to visit a London school on Tuesday.

5. Queen Letizia of Spain went bright with her earrings at the opening of ARCO 2016 on Thursday. (They’re her ruby and emerald pair from Tous.)

4. Here’s a royal we don’t see that much of: Lea, widow of the late Prince Alexandre of Belgium (who was a younger half-brother to King Baudouin, King Albert II, and Grand Duchess Josephine-Charlotte). She wore a lovely pair of glittering earrings (and maybe also a jeweled brooch?) at a charity gala in Switzerland on Saturday.

3. Queen Elizabeth II wore a major royal heirloom on Thursday at an audience with the High Commissioner of Grenada at Buckingham Palace: the brooch from Queen Victoria’s collection that is studded with eleven pearls.

2. Crossrail in London was re-christened the “Elizabeth Line” on Tuesday, and the Queen was there in bright purple and her amethyst bouquet brooch to mark the occasion.

1. My unreserved vote for best jewels of the week goes to Princess Madeleine of Sweden, who wore her Nobel 2015 jewels and gown on Monday at the palace in Stockholm. The occasion? A tea party for Swedish children dealing with medical issues, sponsored by Min Stora Dag (a Swedish organization similar to the Make-a-Wish Foundation — Madeleine is its patron). Any excuse to see the stunning aquamarine kokoshnik (and a pair of gorgeous aquamarine earrings!) is worth it in my book, but a fairytale tea party for deserving kids, complete with an actual tiara-clad princess? SO GOOD.

We’ve got some unexpected showstoppers in store this week! Be sure to vote for your favorite in the poll below…
10. Queen Letizia of Spain wore a pair of square diamond earrings as she viewed accessibility renovations at the Royal Palace in Madrid on Wednesday.

9. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands is currently visiting Pakistan, and on Wednesday, we got a good glimpse of a pair of intriguing statement earrings and her engagement and wedding rings.

8. On Thursday, the Duchess of Cornwall wore one of her insect brooches as she received an honorary doctorate from the University of Southampton.

7. I believe Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg chose pearl drop earrings for a lovely set of new portraits in honor of her upcoming wedding anniversary.

6. Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway wore an interesting silver-toned bracelet as she attended a conference on girls and technology in Oslo on Wednesday. (I’m not exactly sure, but I think it may have been related to the conference itself?)

5. The Duchess of Cornwall selected her pearl necklace with the diamond and sapphire art deco clasp for a visit to a hospice on Wednesday.

4. Queen Maxima wore an impressive pair of turquoise earrings for the first day of her visit to Pakistan on Tuesday.

3. Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom wore her gold and ruby floral brooch for a church service in Norfolk on Sunday.

2. The biggest royal brooch of the week was certainly the one donned by the Duchess of Cambridge, who wore the Dacre Brooch on Sunday. Read more about the piece over here!

1. My top spot of the week has to go to Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, who went major with her earrings at the Global Change Awards in Stockholm on Wednesday.

Glitter galore this week! Don’t forget to vote for your favorite piece in the poll below.

10. Queen Letizia of Spain wore her Tous pearl drop earrings at a forum in Madrid on Wednesday. (Also, bad jewel news out of Spain: the Spanish state visit to the UK isn’t going to happen this spring because of continuing issues following the country’s December elections. I’m bummed — I totally thought we were going to get to see Letizia wear La Buena!)

9. In Denmark, Crown Princess Mary wore a pair of statement earrings for the first day of Copenhagen Fashion Week on Wednesday.

8. The Emperor and Empress of Japan have been on a visit the Philippines; on Friday, Michiko wore pearls to pay tribute at a war memorial in Manila.

7. Princess Astrid of Belgium wore a glittering pair of earrings for a visit to a hospital in Ghent on Tuesday.

6. Queen Sonja of Norway wore pearls for the opening of an art exhibition in London on Wednesday.

5. On Thursday, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom visited a Norfolk hospice; she chose her Mappin and Webb orchid brooch for the occasion.

4. As we discussed yesterday, the tiaras were out in Stockholm for the annual Representatives Dinner on Wednesday. Crown Princess Victoria wore the Baden Fringe Tiara with a pair of dangling earrings that she’d previously donned during Princess Madeleine’s wedding festivities.

3. Princess Sofia wore her diamond and emerald tiara again (sigh) for the dinner, but I gave her high marks for the best tiara hair she’s donned yet. Her earrings are the same diamond ones from the Bernadotte collection that she wore on her wedding day.

2. Queen Silvia was dripping in diamonds at the dinner, from her necklace and earrings to the delicate Connaught Diamond Tiara.

1. This was a tough one, but although this week was tiara-heavy, my top spot goes to the diamond demi-parure worn at the British Asian Trust dinner by the Duchess of Cornwall. (More photos of the set over here!)
