Ninety years ago today, the British and Greek royal families gathered in London for the wedding of a prince and a princess. The Duke of Kent, the youngest surviving son of King George V and Queen Mary, wed Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark in a pair of sparkling ceremonies on November 29, 1934. Last week, a little piece of royal history was sold at auction in England: a sapphire and emerald ring once owned by Princess Margaret that also apparently had ties to another royal relative, the Marquess of Cambridge.
