The Swedish royal couple toured the show facilities before the opening ceremony.

Silvia wore pearl earrings, a modern pearl necklace, and the same wreath-shaped brooch she wore yesterday at Aachen’s town hall. You also get a peek here at a ring on the pinky finger of Silvia’s right hand.

At the opening ceremony, Silvia wore her pearl necklace with the diamond and topaz clasp with coordinating earrings. She again wore the wreath brooch.

And here’s a look at the very intriguing bracelet she wore on her right wrist: seven rows of pearls connected by a large decorative clasp.

King Carl XVI Gustaf’s cousin, Princess Benedikte of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, also attended the opening ceremony. (Benedikte is deeply involved in the equestrian world; her daughter, Nathalie, won a bronze medal in the dressage competition at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.) Benedikte wore a double-stranded pearl necklace, half-moon pearl and diamond earrings, and a round pearl and diamond cluster brooch.
