Queen Letizia of Spain was the picture of classic style on Tuesday. During a rainy visit to La Rinconada in Seville, she paired ruby earrings with a chic trench coat and black umbrella.

Seventy-nine years ago today, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth of the United Kingdom were crowned in Westminster Abbey. Bertie and Elizabeth, who are the parents of the present Queen, were never expected to reign, but after the abdication of his elder brother, King Edward VIII, suddenly placed them on the throne. Queen Elizabeth II wasn’t the only British royal lady at Tuesday’s garden party. Here are three more princesses who showed up in their bejeweled best!

The Countess of Wessex wore a pair of earrings that we saw quite a lot last summer: cluster earrings by Dior. The earrings are made of resin beads designed to resemble pearls.
