Sparkling Royal Jewels From Around the World
On Saturday, Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg glowed at the first of two ceremonies celebrating her marriage to Nicolas Bagory. There were some interesting royal jewels on display at the civil ceremony—some classic, and some a little more modern.
This year is the centenary of the marriage of King George VI and Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon—more on that next week!—and today, we’ve got a closer look at the jewels she wore on the second most important day of her married life: the day that she and her husband were crowned at Westminster Abbey in 1937.
Today, the royal family celebrates the late Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday for the first time without her. Since her death last September, countless tributes to the late monarch have been shared.
