Sparkling Royal Jewels From Around the World
Botswana has been in the news in recent weeks for an astonishingly large diamond find in one of its mines. But the nation’s diamond industry is also producing slightly more modest stones, including this fascinating pair of twin diamonds set to be sold this month at Sotheby’s.
Today in the Netherlands, the Dutch royal family gathered in The Hague for Prinsjesdag, and there were plenty of sparkling royal jewels–including Queen Juliana’s fabulous aquamarines!–on display.
This month, royals throughout Europe are remembering the triumphant moments of liberation that took place 80 years ago during World War II. On Thursday, the King and the Queen of the Netherlands joined in the celebration with a special meeting in the village of Mesch.
