Happy Birthday, Princess Catherine! Today, the Princess of Wales—daughter-in-law of King Charles III and future Queen of the United Kingdom herself—celebrates her 42nd birthday. Of course we need to join in the birthday tributes with some sparkling jewels!
On Sunday, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark will hand the throne over to her elder son, Crown Prince Frederik. At the same time, her daughter-in-law, Crown Princess Mary, will become the custodian of three dazzling Danish royal tiaras—and an entire collection of crown jewels.
The New Year celebrations continued on Wednesday and Thursday in Denmark, with Queen Margrethe II hosting her final bejeweled receptions for the Diplomatic Corps, military officers, and other dignitaries.
