Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden celebrated her birthday yesterday with a traditional gathering on the island of Öland. The day was full of fun, frivolity — and also some jewelry.
Victoria wore a large pair of hoop earrings on her birthday.
She also added a stack of bracelets to her outfit.
As she met with members of the public, her jewelry was supplemented by colorful necklaces and bracelets offered to her as gifts.
Victoria wasn’t the only Swedish princess who was given a necklace. Her adorable daughter, Princess Estelle, also sported a set of beads.
The little princess’s favorite accessory, however, was clearly her umbrella.
… or maybe it was the puppy.
(Yep, definitely the puppy.)
Queen Silvia was bundled up in the rainy weather, but we still got a glimpse of her rings and bracelets.
The king didn’t wear any jewelry, but he did lead the crowd in three cheers for his daughter.
Later, the birthday girl changed into traditional Swedish dress for a concert.
She also changed into a pair of pearl earrings.
Queen Silvia went with the traditional costume for the concert, too. (The Swedish royal men never wear traditional clothing — too bad! Who doesn’t love a royal in costume?)
Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia, who recently returned from their honeymoon, also attended the concert. She wore a small pair of stud earrings with bracelets; his new wedding ring was clearly visible.
Princess Madeleine, who recently gave birth to her second child, was also present, as was her husband, Chris O’Neill. Like Sofia, she wore small earrings and bracelets. The collar of her coat was also embellished with sparkling crystals.
Looks like the birthday was a success! For more on Victoria’s jewelry, check out yesterday’s roundup of her wedding guest style, plus our 2014 birthday tribute to her jewels.
