King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain the 30th anniversary celebrations for a newspaper, Expansion, at the Palace Hotel in Madrid on Monday, and Letizia brought out a major new pair of earrings for the occasion!

The earrings feature a stud made of a single ruby and four rows of curved diamonds, from which five diamond pendants descend, tipped by pear-shaped rubies.

The maker of the earrings has not yet been identified. To me, there are some visual similarities to the all-diamond earrings worn last year by Princess Charlene of Monaco. In the past, both Letizia and Queen Sofia have worn a diamond and ruby tassel necklace that shares some commonalities with this pair of earrings, but they are not part of a matching set.

Here’s a look at Letizia’s entire ensemble for the event. Her dress for the evening was made by Carolina Herrera.
