Cambridge Visit to Paris: Jewels of Day 1

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are on an official visit to Paris this weekend. Here’s a look at the jewels Kate wore during Friday’s events.

William and Kate arrived in Paris in the afternoon, having left directly after distributing shamrocks to the Irish Guards in the morning. Kate wore the same Catherine Walker coat and jewelry as she did in Hounslow earlier in the day, although she removed the shamrock brooch from her coat. (See her St. Patrick’s Day jewels over here.)

William and Kate began their visit by calling on President Hollande at the Elysee Palace.

At Friday’s evening reception, Kate wore a McQueen dress with a suite of pearly jewels.

The faux pearl and crystal jewels are by Balenciaga. She debuted the “Eugenia” earrings previously at Trooping the Colour 2016. (See more on her jewels from that event over here.)

Today’s reception showed that the set includes at least two other pieces: a necklace and a ring.

…and at the ring, which she wore on her right hand. On her left hand, she wore her usual rings; she also wore her Cartier watch.

For a dinner at the British embassy this evening, Kate wore a Jenny Packham dress and accessorized with diamonds borrowed from the Queen’s collection.
