The Windsors came out in force on Monday for the annual Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey and reception at Marlborough House. Here’s a look at the jewels we saw on the royal ladies for the event.

The Queen chose a brooch from the collection of the late Queen Mother: the Australian Hibiscus Brooch.

The brooch is an appropriate nod to the Commonwealth for the service. It was a gift to the Queen Mum from the people of Australia in the 1950s, and it’s set with diamonds and rubies.

The Duchess of Cornwall wore familiar jewels for the service and reception, including her pearl choker with the round diamond clasp. Here you also get a view of her rings and her gold bracelet, which is flipped over in this image.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall’s daughters-in-law were in attendance at the service, too.

The Duchess of Cambridge repeated the floral stud earrings that she wore recently at the Royal Foundation Forum, pairing them with a new floral bouquet brooch.

The brooch and earrings are proving difficult to photograph in great detail, but today’s outing showed that both are set with stones that provide pink/purple and blue sparkle. I think it’s possible that the pieces form a coordinating set — after all, who likes a suite of matched jewels better than Kate?

Also on usual jewelry form: Meghan Markle. The royal bride-to-be wore her gorgeous diamond engagement ring…

…and a pair of teensy stud earrings.

The Princess Royal was relegated to the background by the photographers today, but here you can see that she wore pearl drop earrings and a golden brooch.

The Countess of Wessex wore golden-hued stud earrings with her favorite new accessory, her Hermes charm necklace. (She debuted that piece at Christmas.)

She also wore a gorgeous cluster ring with a dark blue stone (sapphire, perhaps?) on her right hand.

The Duchess of Gloucester also got the photo background treatment, but here we can see that she wore pearl earrings and a pearl necklace with a jeweled pendant.

Princess Alexandra wore one of her pearl choker necklaces with her diamond floral earrings and (not seen here) her diamond clematis brooch.
