Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, and Princess Sofia were at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm for Idrottsgalan, the annual Swedish sports gala. Crown Princess Victoria didn’t join them for the event, as she was in Poland for the commemorations of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.

Prince Daniel and Prince Carl Philip were dapper in their tuxedos for the gala, while Princess Sofia looked modern and fresh in a sleek green evening gown.

This annual sports gala is one of the occasions on the Swedish royal calendar that allows for a little more experimentation with jewelry. While Sofia wears major heirloom jewels for many of the formal evening occasions throughout the year, she often sports more modern, edgier jewelry for this particular event.

Sofia accessorized her green gown with major golden statement earrings for the gala, using the classic design of the gown as a backdrop to let the jewels shine.

Thanks to Japanese Ginger, we can identify the maker of the earrings as Gas Bijoux. The modern take on the girandole style features various colorful accents and feathers.

Sofia also wore delicate bracelets on her right wrist and a cocktail ring shaped like a palm frond on her right hand. She wore her green Project Playground bracelet on her left wrist and her engagement and wedding rings on her left hand.

Such a treat to get a little modern Swedish glamour in the middle of the week!
