On Monday, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the 2016 Princess Grace Awards Gala in New York City. Here’s a look at what the princess wore…

Charlene chose major diamond earrings for the event. They feature a decorative stud, from which is suspended a large round element and a fringe of smaller diamonds.

On her left hand, Charlene also wore a large diamond cocktail ring. I don’t have confirmation, but I believe both the earrings and the ring are by Graff.

The small shamrock on Charlene’s bodice is a part of the embroidery of her gown, which is by Dior. (You’ll notice from the names on the step-and-repeat background that Dior was also one of the sponsors of the gala.) The skirt of the gown is festooned with shamrocks — perhaps a nod to Princess Grace’s Irish roots?

Speaking of Princess Grace’s roots, Prince Albert recently purchased her childhood home in Philadelphia. What do you think: will we see a museum dedicated to the life of Grace Kelly soon?
