This Week in Royal Jewels: October 7-13

Between state banquets and royal weddings, it was a bang-up week for royal jewelry. To give all of the best pieces a proper amount of breathing room, we’re separating this week’s jewel roundup into two posts. The tiaras will have their own separate post later today — in the meantime, here’s everything else! Be sure to vote for your favorites below!

10. The Duchess of Cambridge made a solo visit to the Netherlands on Tuesday, and she brought some very royal jewelry with her: pearl and diamond earrings borrowed from the Queen. (More pictures over here!)

9. Queen Sonja of Norway welcomed Singapore’s first couple to Oslo on Monday wearing pearls and a golden brooch.

8. For Spain’s national day, Queen Letizia donned her diamond and Australian pearl drop earrings at the annual military parade in Madrid. (More pictures here!)

7. Queen Mathilde of the Belgians selected a pair of statement earrings for the welcome ceremony at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo on Tuesday. (More pictures here!)

6. The Belgian state visit to Japan continued on Wednesday with a trip to a communications center in Yuki. Empress Michiko wore an elegant diamond and pearl brooch for the engagement.

5. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands wore her beaded tassel earrings on Wednesday at a press conference in Buenos Aires.

4. For the arrival of Belgium’s royal couple at Tokyo’s Imperial Palace on Tuesday, Empress Michiko was elegant in pearls and a modern brooch. (More pictures here!)

3. At an evening reception at the Royal Academy of Art, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom wore the Cartier-made diamond ivy leaf clips from the Greville Bequest. (More pictures here!)

2. Earlier the same day, Queen Elizabeth II wore the Round Cambridge Emerald Brooch with its cabochon emerald pendant drop for audiences at Buckingham Palace. (More pictures here!)
