Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh made a visit to Dunstable on Tuesday, and HM brought a rather sparkly spring floral piece along with her.

This is the diamond daffodil brooch that she debuted a few years ago. Many have speculated that the brooch may have been one of her Diamond Jubilee gifts.

Here’s a closer view of the brooch from today’s visit. The piece features three yellow daffodil blossoms set on white diamond stems/leaves. The daffodil is one of the national symbols of Wales, and the Queen wore the brooch previously in a portrait commissioned by the Welsh Rugby Union.
