This Week in Royal Jewels: November 10-17

It was an incredibly busy royal week, and it was a major challenge to narrow down the week’s best jewels! Don’t forget to vote for your favorites in the poll below!

10. Princess Marie of Denmark visited her native France on Wednesday, wearing a pair of pave-set diamond disk earrings with an embellished coat to switch on Christmas lights in Paris.

9. On Thursday, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden made a feathery statement with her earrings as she welcomed the president of the European Parliament to Stockholm.

8. Pearls and a leafy brooch were Queen Sofia of Spain’s accessories of choice for the delivery of the Medal of Honor to the Royal Theater at the San Fernando Museum in Madrid on Monday.

7. Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy wore pearls with her diamond clematis brooch for the Festival of Remembrance on Saturday. (More over here!)

5. Also in attendance at Saturday’s festival: the Duchess of Cambridge, who wore her late mother-in-law’s pearl drop earrings. (More here!)

4. On Thursday, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom wore one of Queen Victoria’s Bow Brooches to open the Allam Medical Building at the University of Hull.

3. Queen Elizabeth selected the Dorset Bow Brooch, which belonged to her grandmother, Queen Mary, for the moving ceremonies at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday. (More here!)

2. For a meeting with Mexico’s president in Mexico City on Monday, Queen Letizia of Spain wore some of her favorite pieces from the joyas de pasar collection: the diamond earrings and the diamond bracelets.

1. My top vote of the week goes to a third bow brooch worn by Queen Elizabeth: the Kensington Bow Brooch, with its distinctive pearl drop, worn at Saturday’s Festival of Remembrance. (More here!)
