Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their first royal appearance since their official engagement announcement this morning in Nottingham, and Meghan’s diamond ring was one of the stars of the show.

Harry and Meghan arrived arm in arm for the visit, which coincided with World AIDS Day. The pair visited the Full Effect program at Nottingham Academy, as well as the Terrence Higgins Trust World AIDS Day charity fair at Nottingham Contemporary.

They also greeted the public during a walkabout.

With her neutral ensemble, Meghan chose very minimal jewelry for the day’s events. Above, you can see that she decided not to wear any earrings at all, leaving off even the simple gold stud earrings she often prefers.
