Beatrix’s Prinsjesdag Jewels

Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands celebrates a big milestone today: her 80th birthday! We’ve been marking the occasion all week by looking at some of her tiara moments, and today, we’re keeping the festivities going with a look at some of the jewels she wore with her trademark hats for Prinsjesdag during her reign.

1997: A floral cluster and drop brooch

1998: Sapphires, including the round sapphire brooch that belonged to Queen Wilhelmina

2003: Diamonds, including diamond drop earrings and some of the family’s diamond stars
