We’ve got all kinds of glitter coming from the French state banquet in Copenhagen this evening — including a brand new tiara!

Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and the rest of the senior members of the Danish royal family were on hand on Tuesday evening to honor President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, for a state banquet at Christiansborg Palace.

Margrethe paired the grand Pearl PoirĂ© Tiara with pieces from the Danish crown jewel collection. Her earrings and large brooch are set with rubies, diamonds, and pearls. Made in 1840 by C.M. Weisshaupt, the ruby suite belonged to Queen Charlotte Amalie, wife of King Christian V. The single-stranded pearl necklace Margrethe wears here is also part of Charlotte Amalie’s ruby set.

Here’s one more look at Margrethe’s ensemble for the evening. She wore the bright red sash of the French Legion of Honour.

Crown Princess Mary sparkled at the banquet in the tiara, earrings, bracelet, and ring from the Danish Ruby Parure.

Here’s a look at Mary’s entire outfit for the evening, including a dramatic cape (which was a theme for the night!) and the royal blue sash of the French National Order of Merit.

Without a doubt, the most exciting jewelry of the moment came when Princess Marie appeared in a brand-new tiara!

Here’s a closer look. The tiara appears to be a brand-new floral sparkler set with diamonds and sapphires, featuring a large sapphire as its central stone. Joachim and Marie celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary in May. The 12.5-year anniversary may be the bigger milestone in Denmark, but perhaps Joachim marked a decade of marriage with a new tiara for his bride anyway? Very appropriate to debut this new piece at a French state banquet.

Here’s Marie’s entire ensemble for the evening. She’s wearing the pale blue sash of the Order of the Elephant, Denmark’s highest order of chivalry, though I believe I also spot the star of the Legion of Honour on both Marie and Joachim.

Princess Benedikte rounded out the royal contingent for this state banquet, wearing jewels set with diamonds, pearls, and pinky-red gems. Intriguingly, this outing demonstrated that she will continue to be the primary wearer of the Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg Fringe Tiara, even after the death of her husband, Prince Richard.

Here’s Benedikte’s entire outfit for the night. (See what I said about capes?) She doesn’t have a French order, so she’s also wearing the Order of the Elephant.
