Princess Maria Laura of Belgium, niece of the country’s king, celebrates a milestone birthday today. To help mark her 30th, we’re looking at one of her sparkliest jewelry moments to date: the diamond and emerald suite she wore for her brother’s wedding.

Maria Laura made a splash in these jewels at the wedding of her eldest brother, Prince Amedeo, in Rome in July 2014. I’m not sure whether she owns the suite or borrowed it, either from one of her many royal family members or from a jeweler.

The earrings are modern in style, featuring an unusual diamond stud portion that almost looks like a pair of commas. The teardrop pendant features a pear-shaped emerald surrounded by an elaborate frame of diamonds.
