It’s finally here, magpies: today is Nobel Prize day! As some of the world’s greatest minds are honored in Scandinavia, the women of the Swedish royal family will bring out the bling. (A more subdued gala will be held in Oslo for the winners of the Peace Prize.) The royal court has confirmed that Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, and Princess Sofia will attend the festivities tonight in Stockholm, so it’s time to do some tiara predicting!

Last year, Queen Silvia piled on the diamonds, including Queen Sofia’s Tiara. (Get a closer view of the tiara here!) As she generally alternates between this tiara and the grand tiara from the Leuchtenberg Sapphire Parure, I expect that we’ll probably see the sapphires sparkling tonight in Stockholm. But if I had my way, I’d love to see her try out the Aquamarine Kokoshnik!

Crown Princess Victoria took the magnificent Aquamarine Kokoshnik out for a spin last year for the first time. (See more over here!) I have a feeling we may see her reach for the Baden Fringe Tiara once more this year — but perhaps she’ll pair it with the family’s pink topaz suite?

Princess Sofia wore the new pearl setting for her diamond palmette tiara last year at the Nobels. (More over here!) It wouldn’t surprise me if she wears the tiara again, but wouldn’t it be nice to see her in a surprise sparkler from the family vaults, like the large Napoleonic Cut Steel Tiara?
