Happy New Year, Magpies!
It’s January 1st, which means it’s time to celebrate The Court Jeweller’s birthday! Can you believe that the site turns five years old today? (We’ve earned our golden bracelet!)
2018 was an absolutely incredible year for royal jewels, and now that 2019 has arrived, we can only hope for as much wonderful sparkle in the new year! We’ve got some events already penciled on the calendar, including the birth of a new British royal baby and a Windsor wedding in the spring, as well as the Japanese imperial transition at the end of April and an enthronement ceremony in the autumn.
On a personal note, I’ve had a truly remarkable 2018. I was lucky enough to appear on one of my favorite television shows — and I celebrated my own engagement! I’m getting married in the summer of 2019, and you know I’ll be keeping you updated on my jewelry choices here at The Court Jeweller, too. Thank you all for your kind words and support here all year long!
So here’s a toast to the new year — may we all have happy, healthy, prosperous, and sparkling months ahead. (We’ll be back here later today with a first sparkling event — New Year’s jewels in Denmark!) What are you looking forward to this year?
