Edwards’s book focuses on the young lives and loves of Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret, centering on their childhoods and their romances with Prince Philip and Peter Townsend.

The book was originally published in 1990, but it was re-released in 2017 (just around the time that The Crown became a hit, conveniently!) with a new foreword by the author.

For those who love the Queen, the Princess, or The Crown, Edwards’s book is a fascinating read. We’ll be discussing the book right after my wedding in July (!), so you’ve got plenty of time to get reading while I finish up wedding planning! Grab a copy from Amazon (or your retailer of choice) and enjoy!

I put all money that I receive from these affiliate links back into materials for review on the site (including the book discussed in this post), so if you want to read more reviews, please consider purchasing items through the affiliate links in this post and throughout the site.
