Mary accessorized the outfit with diamonds and pearls, including her wedding tiara. The diamond tiara, which also converts for wear as a necklace, was her wedding gift from Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik in 2004. Mary wore the original all-diamond setting for this birthday dinner; a year later, in 2011, she debuted a second pearl setting of the sparkler.

For the occasion, she paired the tiara with pearls. This single strand of large, round pearls was an early staple in Mary’s jewelry wardrobe. Her diamond and pearl drop earrings come from a favorite jewelry firm, Marianne Dulong.

On her right forearm, Mary wore a bracelet with major sentimental resonance. The Pearl-Tipped Gold Bangle Bracelet was her engagement gift from her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe II. Very appropriate to wear it for the Queen’s birthday celebrations!
