On Tuesday evening, the Queen hosted a reception at Windsor Castle—and brought along one of your very favorite brooches!
The Queen welcomed business and investment leaders from around the globe for a reception at Windsor on Tuesday. The event was held to support the Global Investment Summit, which was held in London this week. The goal of the summit was to “secure foreign investment in UK green industries of the future.”
The Queen arrived for the reception wearing a suit made of teal lace, with black accessories.
She also wore her usual pearls, plus the grand Cullinan V Brooch. The brooch has been one of the Queen’s favorites for decades, and it’s also a favorite of our lovely readers. After all, you voted it in as the champion of our first Tournament of Brooches last year!
The Queen was supported by several other members of the royal family at the reception. Above, you’ll spot the Prince of Wales speaking with guests during the event.
And here’s the Duke of Cambridge, mingling in St. George’s Hall during the reception.
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were also on hand for the event, along with Prince Michael of Kent and his son, Lord Frederick Windsor. Above, in a screencapture from an official video, you’ll note that the Duchess of Gloucester wore pearl drop earrings and a pearl choker necklace for the reception.
