On Thursday, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands was out and about in The Hague, wearing some fun and festive jewels. Our Sparkling Spotlight today shines on her exuberant earrings and rings.
On September 30, Queen Maxima arrived at De Remise in The Hague for the launch of a new charitable initiative, the Main Matters Manifesto.
The manifesto is a joint project of the Brain Foundation, MIND, and ZonMw. The initiative advocates for the establishment of a national knowledge and innovation program for mental and psychological health.
The initiative’s tagline is “Make a Bigger Impact Together.” For the launch, Queen Maxima wore a velvet blouse in a shade of midnight blue and dark trousers.
She accessorized with a pair of coordinating beaded statement earrings in shades of blue, green, and gold.
Maxima often wears fun and bold earrings like these, and they fit perfectly with her personality and her overall look.
Maxima is still wearing a splint on her fractured right hand. She also added a pair of rings on the same hand: a silver ring with a modern curved design, and a second ring curving around it, studded with seven diamonds. She also wore her cabochon gemstone bracelet on her left wrist.
The overall effect was vintage Maxima. It’s so good to see the royals out and about more often again!
