Our weeklong celebration of the princely jewels of the Grimaldis wraps up this afternoon with a gorgeous glittering Rose Ball appearance from one of the best jewelry-wearers of the next generation of the family: Beatrice Borromeo Casiraghi.
The princely family of Monaco gathered at the Sporting Club in Monte Carlo in May 2014 for the annual Rose Ball, a charity gala that raises funds for the Princess Grace Foundation. Princess Charlene and Prince Albert were joined by Princess Caroline, Charlotte Casiraghi, Pierre Casiraghi, Beatrice Borromeo, and the famed fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Beatrice arrived on the arm of her longtime boyfriend, Pierre, who is the younger son of Princess Caroline. The couple had been dating since 2008, and they married the following year.
For the gala, Beatrice wore a unique, modern evening gown in a shade of blush pink. The skirt of the dress was made with a unusual pleating technique. Beatrice added a bit of old-school glamour with a matching fur wrap.
Beatrice’s jewelry also hearkened back to the ’20s and ’30s. She wore a pair of diamond statement earrings with a distinctly Art Deco design. The center of the earring features a herringbone pattern created with baguette diamonds, and baguette and round stones are used in combination in the rest of the Deco-style design.
The look was completed with a simple but dazzling diamond necklace, which rested just above the illusion neckline of Beatrice’s gown.
