The Dutch royals kicked off this month’s King’s Day celebrations on Monday, and Queen Máxima wore an intriguing statement necklace for the occasion.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima arrived at the Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht for the King’s Day concert on Monday evening. The main celebration, which takes place on the King’s birthday (April 27), is held in a different Dutch city each year. Originally, Maastricht was scheduled to host the festivities in 2020, but they were canceled because of the pandemic. This year, the people of Maastricht get a second chance to have their King’s Day moment.
For the concert, Queen Máxima was dressed in a luxurious dark red velvet ensemble with matching accessories.
With the outfit, Máxima wore black pearl stud earrings. She also wore an intriguing gold bib necklace in colors that reflected both the dark shade of the pearls and the rich color of her outfit.
She also wore one of her signature bracelet stacks on her right wrist, including her diamond family initial bracelet and her diamond, ruby, sapphire, and emerald tennis bracelets.
