Last week, the King and Queen of the Netherlands wrapped up a state visit from the President of India with a sparkling concert in Amsterdam.
On Wednesday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima headed to the Muziekgebouw, a classical concert hall on the IJ in Amsterdam, for the final event on the state visit program. (We covered the events of the first day of the visit, including the state banquet, over here!)
They were joined by President Ram Nath Kovind and his daughter, Swati, for the performance.
Queen Máxima wore a red off-the-shoulder top with an architectural design with coordinating trousers and a matching wrap for the concert.
Fittingly, she chose jewels set with diamonds and rubies as her accessories. These included her ruby and diamond floral statement earrings, which are part of her private jewelry collection. She also wore her diamond and ruby ring, which was a gift from her husband to mark the birth of Princess Amalia, on her right hand. (You can read about all four of the rings Willem-Alexander has given her over here!)
Here’s another view of the diamond and ruby floral earrings from Wednesday’s concert. The earrings, which have been in Máxima’s collection for about a decade, are versatile, able to be worn in three different lengths. She wore the most complete setting of the earrings for this event.
We also caught a glimpse of several bracelets on Máxima’s right wrist: the bracelet with her family members’ initials rendered in diamonds, plus her diamond, ruby, emerald, and sapphire tennis bracelets. You can get a good close-up view of the initial bracelet and two of the tennis bracelets (plus the ruby ring) in this earlier post.
