On Friday, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands embraced her sporty side—and wore a majorly fun pair of earrings, too!
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima headed to Delft on Friday to take part in the King’s Breakfast, a kickoff event for the 10th annual King’s Games.
For the event, Queen Máxima wore a playful pair of earrings that she’s had in her jewelry box for several years. The seashell earrings are likely from Seaman Schepps, an American jewelry firm founded in the first half of the twentieth century. The firm is famous for incorporating natural elements into their jewelry and accenting them with gems and precious metals. These turbo shell earrings are their signature style.
Máxima has worn the earrings on numerous occasions. Here, she wears them with a brightly printed dress for the King’s Day concert at the Oosterpoort in Groningen in April 2018.
And here, she wears them with another white ensemble for the family’s annual summer photo session at Palace Huis ten Bosch in The Hague in July 2020.
Máxima also has a second, larger pair of seashell statement earrings in her jewelry box, too. She wore this pair in September 2020 for Music Table Day in Katwijk.
But back to the earrings at the King’s Breakfast on Friday. Máxima paired them with colorful jewels this time around, including several stacked bracelets. She wore a delicate gold bracelet on her left wrist, and then piled several more—her ruby and sapphire tennis bracelets, her family diamond initial bracelet, and a diamond-tipped gold bangle—on her right wrist.
She also wore rings on both hands: her engagement and wedding rings on her left hand, and her diamond and tanzanite ring on her right hand. Both would add plenty of punch in any boxing match!
