Queen Letizia made a dazzling appearance at a state dinner in Madrid on Tuesday, wearing a gorgeous pair of glittering diamond earrings.
The Spanish royals welcomed their counterparts from Qatar, Sheikh Tamim and Sheikha Jawaher, to Madrid for a state visit this week. On Tuesday evening, the Emir and his senior wife were the guests of honor at a state dinner at the Royal Palace.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia were elegant in their formal attire for the banquet. Felipe wore white tie, with the badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece around his neck. Letizia was gorgeous in a champagne-colored gown with an intricate lace overlay. (Queen Letizia Style identified the dress as a Gabriel Lage design.) She pinned the small ribbon and badge of the Order of Carlos III to the bodice of her gown.
Queen Letizia’s gown was gorgeous enough on its own, but she added two pieces of jewelry for extra glamour and sparkle. The spotlight of the ensemble was a pair of diamond floral fringe earrings.
Here’s a better look at the details of the earrings, which were gifted to her by the Qatari royals during this visit. The floral design of the earrings is more evident here. They’re sort of a modified girandole/chandelier style. The only other piece of jewelry that Letizia added to the outfit was her gold oval ring by Karen Hallam.
And here’s a glimpse of the outfit worn by Sheikha Jawaher, senior wife of the Emir of Qatar. She wore an interesting outfit with a leather capelet featuring sparkling silver embellishments. She also wore fantastic diamonds: earrings, a bracelet, and rings.
