Last week, the King and Queen of Spain made an appearance in Madrid at a ceremony to commemorate the lives of those affected by the pandemic.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain participated in a state ceremony at the Royal Palace in Madrid on Friday. The ceremony honored the victims of the coronavirus crisis, as well as those public servants who have been fighting on the front line against the pandemic in Spain.
The Spanish royal family has been personally affected by the pandemic in recent months. King Felipe tested positive in February, while Queen Letizia contracted the virus earlier this month.
The King laid a wreath during Friday’s ceremony, which was titled “A Round of Applause for Remembrance.”
Queen Letizia wore a blue Carolina Herrera dress for the remembrance ceremony.
She accessorized with her Bulgari diamond and aquamarine earrings. The versatile jewels feature hoops set with diamonds and aquamarines, with removable pendants with bright blue, pear-shaped aquamarines. You can see a closer view of the earrings from a previous appearance in this article.
