Queen Mathilde Wears a Beautiful Brooch in Brussels

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde arrived at the new headquarters of the BNP Paribas Fortis Bank in Brussels on Wednesday for a royal visit.

The couple participated in a roundtable discussion during their tour of the new bank headquarters.

Queen Mathilde wore an elegant black-and-white houndstooth ensemble for the bank visit, accessorized with diamond and pearl jewelry. The spotlight piece was her intricate diamond and pearl brooch, which she pinned near her right shoulder.

The lovely brooch made its debut on Mathilde’s birthday in January 2015, leading many to speculate that it may have been a birthday gift.
