On Tuesday, the Swedish royal family headed to Uppsala for a special church ceremony, and both the Queen and the Crown Princess brought along lovely brooches.
King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia arrived in Uppsala on Tuesday to attend a church service ahead of the the start of the annual meetings of the Church of Sweden.
They were joined by Crown Princess Victoria for the service.
Queen Silvia wore a blue tweed suit for the service with a coordinating navy blue pillbox hat and clutch bag.
Her most eye-catching accessory was the lovely floral brooch that she pinned to the collar of her jacket.
Here’s a close-up of the same brooch from a previous appearance (the Spanish state visit in November 2021). Note the lovely carved petals and leaves in the design, as well as the gold and gemstone accents.
Silvia also wore bracelets on her right wrist and a gold and diamond ring on her right hand. I believe she’s also wearing pearl earrings, though the details are hard to discern.
Crown Princess Victoria was elegant in neutrals for the service, layering an ivory jacket over a tan dress. UFO No More identified her headpiece as an Örjan Jakobsson design.
She wore a pair of statement earrings featuring large gemstones in a blush-colored hue ringed with diamonds.
She also pinned a lovely little dragonfly brooch to her jacket. The innovative piece uses baroque pearls as the “wings” of the gold dragonfly.
