On Thursday, the Bernadottes brought out their tiaras for the Representationsmiddag, a white-tie dinner at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
This was the second Representationsmiddag of 2022, after a three-year hiatus during the pandemic. Queen Silvia was not able to attend because she’s suffering from a mild cold, so Crown Princess Victoria was the most senior royal lady present, joining King Carl XVI Gustaf, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, and Princess Sofia. For the event, Victoria reached into her closet for a silver gown by Jenny Packham. Her decorations included the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim and her father’s Royal Family Order.
Victoria’s jewelry for the dinner was a mix of antique and modern. She wore the Boucheron Laurel Wreath Tiara, a jewel from the collection of Princess Margaret of Connaught that Victoria inherited from her great-aunt, Princess Lilian. She wore diamond earrings from the Bernadotte jewelry collection and a necklace with a small diamond pendant, plus a diamond brooch to secure her order sash.
She finished off the look with a large silver cuff bracelet on her right wrist and a delicate tangle of silver bracelets on her left.
Princess Sofia also chose an outfit with silvery winter tones for the dinner. UFO No More tells us that this isn’t a dress, but rather a top and skirt from the brand Zetterberg Couture. Like Victoria, Sofia’s decorations included the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim and King Carl XVI Gustaf’s Royal Family Order.
Sofia wore the pearl setting of her Palmette Tiara, one of the most versatile sparklers in Sweden. She paired it with diamond and pearl drop earrings. You’ll also just be able to spot one of the family’s diamond and pearl brooches hidden behind Sofia’s hair. (I think it’s likely the Swedish Floral Pearl Drop Brooch.)
