As I mentioned in this morning’s post, I’m taking a few moments out of my Saturday to provide you with a first look at the tiaras and jewels worn for today’s Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm. I’ll have extensive articles on each royal lady’s look over the coming days, including multiple images and jewel identifications. But I don’t think we can wait that long for a look at the tiaras, can you???
Queen Silvia brought along a present surprise by not wearing Queen Sofia’s Tiara today! She chose the Napoleonic Amethyst Tiara and the jewels from the accompanying parure.
Here’s Crown Princess Victoria, whose tiara I accurately predicted: the Diamond Six-Button Tiara, paired with diamonds and a necklace she’s had for years, featuring pink and blue gemstones.
Princess Sofia, frustratingly, once again wore her Diamond Palmette Tiara—but at least we’ve got a new set of toppers! These briolette-cut gemstones are either aquamarines or blue topazes. (I think probably aquas.)
Stay tuned: we’ll have more on each look soon!
