Queen Máxima has been in Morocco this week, and she wore an interesting pair of statement earrings on Monday for a meeting with a prominent banker.
Queen Máxima embarked this week on a trip to Morocco, as part of her role as a special representative of the UN Secretary-General for Financial Inclusion and Development. Before her royal marriage, Máxima earned degrees in economics and worked in the financial industry, and she has continued to use that expertise in her work with the United Nations.
On Monday, Máxima headed to Casablanca for a meeting with Othmane Benjelloun, a Moroccan businessman who is the CEO of BMCE Bank.
Queen Máxima’s clothing for the visit has been more casual than her usual royal ensembles. She wore a dress with an orange and brown print for the meeting in Casablanca.
She accessorized with a really interesting pair of statement earrings. The shape of the earrings echoed the print design of the dress.
Here’s a closer look at the earrings, which feature diamond accents on an orange background.
Máxima also wore rings on both hands. Her engagement and wedding rings can be spotted on her left hand. It’s tough to see, but I think the ring worn on her right hand matches the orange and diamond design of the earrings.
