Earlier this week, we covered the jewels worn by Princess Caroline and Charlotte Casiraghi at the Cannes Film Festival—but there was also an earlier Grimaldi red carpet appearance at the festival, with some intriguing jewelry included!
It was Casiraghi Day at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday of last week, with Charlotte Casiraghi and her sister-in-law, Beatrice Borromeo, walking the red carpet ahead of the premiere of Jeanne du Barry. The film, coincidentally, is about royalty: it’s a biopic of Madame du Barry, the last maîtresse-en-titre of King Louis XV of France.
Charlotte was also accompanied at the event by her husband, Dimitri Rassam. He knows a thing or two about the French film industry: his parents are the actress Carole Bouquet and the film producer Jean-Pierre Rassam, and he’s also a successful film producer in his own right.
For her red carpet appearance, Charlotte wore a navy blue evening gown with sparkling floral accents on the bodice and sleeves. The dress, as you may have guessed, was made by Chanel.
The dress itself came with plenty of sparkle, courtesy of the sequined flowers with crystal centers.
Charlotte also added some extra sparkle with a pair of diamond floral earrings.
Just as she did for the Rose Ball a few weeks ago, Beatrice wore Dior for the film premiere.
With the lace gown, she wore an ultra-dramatic pair of modern earrings.
The earrings, which nearly grazed Beatrice’s shoulders, featured a rigid diamond wave design with baroque pearl and diamond pendants.
