If you can believe it, there were even more royal events happening last week around the world! We’re catching up on one of them today with a look at the jewels from the official visit of the King and Queen of Jordan to Spain.
On Monday, June 19, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan headed to Madrid, where they met with King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain at the Royal Palace.
The King and Queen of Jordan were joined by their younger son, Prince Hashem, for the trip. Their visit was timed to coincide with their attendance at the meeting of the Aqaba Process, an initiative aimed at tackling the problems of terrorism and security, in Cordoba the following day.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia hosted an official luncheon for the Jordanian royals during their quick visit.
Before the luncheon, Queen Letizia had time to show Queen Rania a special project at the palace.
They toured the National Heritage Institution’s school and workshops, watching as artisans worked on preservation projects like caning chairs and gilding picture frames.
Both queens were elegant in daywear for the visit.
With her Diego Estrada sheath dress, Queen Letizia wore a new pair of earrings from a favorite brand, Gold & Roses. These climber earrings are the brand’s “Luzia” star earrings.
Here’s a closer look at the earrings, which are made of both rose gold and white gold and set with diamonds.
Queen Rania was chic in a Dior dress with butterfly embroidery for the visit. Her hair hid her earrings, but there were flashes of diamond sparkle visible on occasion. She finished off the look with a pair of sunglasses.
