We’re back today with coverage of another fascinating royal jewelry moment from Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, this time worn to spotlight Dutch design work.
On Thursday, Queen Maxima traveled to Eindhoven for a visit to the Design Academy. The academy, one of the world’s leading schools in its field, is an interdisciplinary educational institute for art, architecture, and design.
During the visit, Queen Maxima was particularly focused underscoring the importance of developing young design talent in the Netherlands.
Queen Maxima was elegant in gray with eye-catching accessories for the design school visit.
She wore large pavé-set diamond hoops earrings with a large floral statement necklace.
The necklace itself is a design piece. Mode Koningin Maxima reports that it comes from Celedonio, an Argentine jewelry brand. Maxima owns other pieces from the same company, including a pair of large spider brooches.
Maxima also wore rings on both hands and bracelets on both wrists. Here’s a look at her left hand and wrist. You’ll spot her engagement and wedding rings, plus gold bracelets set with cabochon gemstones. The larger of the two bracelets is also engraved with the names of her husband and daughters.
On her right wrist, Maxima wore more bracelets, including that pearl bracelet we discussed at the end of last week. She also added her modern black pearl and diamond ring on her right hand.
